Whew! The move is complete. It was absolutely the easiest move ever. I had so many people show up and we were completely finished by about 11 am. A crew went down to storage and got back to the house about 12:00 for pizza. Nothing was broken – a couple of scratches on furniture and a broken pair of scissors was the extent of the damage. I am so happy.
The only bummer of the day was that my coffee table didn’t fit in the ‘living’ room. So it had to go to storage – but other than that, we’re good!
Lots and lots of love and thanks to everyone who helped out!
My new roomie, Renee, was a great sport considering the mass number of people who invaded her house while I moved in. She’s been a great help already and helped me hang pictures on Sunday, as well as contributed a rug to the ‘living room’ that somehow manages to bring all of my random furnishings, pictures, bedding and lamps together. I’ll try to get some photos taken and post soon!
There is one big difference between my old place and this one – there lots of stinkin’ stairs in this house! My muscles are being re-trained and they are not happy.
This week is full of work and unpacking. I can’t believe it’s Thanksgiving already. I’m spending Thanksgiving with Laurel and Nancy and their family. It’ll be some seriously good eating. My mouth is watering already at the thought of pumpkin soup!
Have a wonderful Turkey Day!

I miss turkey day!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the "un-eventful" move. I know you will enjoy decorating for your new digs!
ReplyDeleteGive Laurel a hug for me and you both have a great TURKEY DAY!
Fastest move I ever participated in. There were so many guys that I barely had to lift anything heavy. Your new space is so cozy.
