Keep your fingers crossed for a SNOW DAY!

It's a cold, blustery Wednesday night. Chance of rain tomorrow is 100%. And did I say it was cold???? Keep your fingers crossed for a snow day!

We're all scheduled for scrappin' on the 10th and I am so excited. Now to only get all of my scrap crap organized and ready to go. I'm getting tons of email about all of the new CHA stuff and it all looks wonderful! What a way to get the creative juices flowing.

So, if you me pretty well, you know that one of my favorite sayings is "This is not a dress rehearsal". It's on a plaque in the living room, but originated on a little magnet painted with a clown that my Mom gave me a long time ago. Well, the newest saying is "What if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?". Hehehe. Renee gave me this great sign for Christmas. It makes me smile. I'm kinda thinking about making a mini book about all of the fun sayings we are so fond of in our family...I'll have to think about it some more!

Bundle up! More later!

Recoving From Being "Mom"

Recovering from being "Mom" to Victoria and Regan for the past few days. Regan ended up getting sick - who knew someone so small could create so much green, nasty....well you know :) And it quickly spread to me.

I've spent a lovely day catching up on all of my scrapbooking magazines. Renewing my mind and getting excited about being creative, defragging my computer, posting to my blog - all of those things that I feel like I never really get to do. It's been marvelous. And all made possible by a bowl of chicken noodle soup so graciously supplied by my roomate.

As promised here are a few pictures from Christmas. There are way to many to post, but here are a few!

Long time, no blog!

Long time, no blog, huh? I swear I'm here….

Christmas was wonderfully busy and crazy and happy and sad. So busy because we were literally running from house to house, store to store, even town to town in order for everyone to be able to see who they needed to see and buy what they needed to buy (especially for Mom and Allen who both came with a list of things to take back to their respective countries). Crazy because we had so many people: me, mom, Allen, Henry, Phillip and Lisa, Eric, Jan, Aunt Paula, Dwayne, Henry, Hilda, D'Andre, Logan, Alyssa, Aaron, Vicky Karla, Lana, Terri….I am probably forgetting someone. Happy because it was the first time in many, many years (we're thinking 1981) since Mom, Henry, Allen and I were all together for Christmas. Sad because everyone had to leave to go back home.

New Years Eve was probably one of the best New Years Eve I've ever had. After dropping Allen and Jan and Mom off at the airport I went home, took a shower, put on my flannel pajamas and rested for a bit. Laurel came over to imbibe yummy pomegranate martinis courtesy of Renee, then we had a great big feast of baked potatoes, steamed asparagus and crab legs. Yummy! A little dessert of chocolate ice cream and I was ready for a good nap on the sofa while Laurel and Renee watched movies. I was out. Nothing like good food and good friends to help you recuperate from a busy, crazy week.

I'll post some Christmas pictures soon! I'll catch you up on the how the new year has started in my next post!
