Long time, no blog!

Long time, no blog, huh? I swear I'm here….

Christmas was wonderfully busy and crazy and happy and sad. So busy because we were literally running from house to house, store to store, even town to town in order for everyone to be able to see who they needed to see and buy what they needed to buy (especially for Mom and Allen who both came with a list of things to take back to their respective countries). Crazy because we had so many people: me, mom, Allen, Henry, Phillip and Lisa, Eric, Jan, Aunt Paula, Dwayne, Henry, Hilda, D'Andre, Logan, Alyssa, Aaron, Vicky Karla, Lana, Terri….I am probably forgetting someone. Happy because it was the first time in many, many years (we're thinking 1981) since Mom, Henry, Allen and I were all together for Christmas. Sad because everyone had to leave to go back home.

New Years Eve was probably one of the best New Years Eve I've ever had. After dropping Allen and Jan and Mom off at the airport I went home, took a shower, put on my flannel pajamas and rested for a bit. Laurel came over to imbibe yummy pomegranate martinis courtesy of Renee, then we had a great big feast of baked potatoes, steamed asparagus and crab legs. Yummy! A little dessert of chocolate ice cream and I was ready for a good nap on the sofa while Laurel and Renee watched movies. I was out. Nothing like good food and good friends to help you recuperate from a busy, crazy week.

I'll post some Christmas pictures soon! I'll catch you up on the how the new year has started in my next post!

  1. As much as I love Christmas I'm glad the busyness is over. New Year's eve was a perfect relaxing end to a hectic year. Thanks too for helping to make my birthday an event. I had so much fun.
