Last Minute Crazy!
Sorry guys – had a crazy busy weekend (but absolutely lovely) and am finalizing my Memory Makers Master entry (yikes). It has to be mailed out no later than Thursday – nothing like the last minute, huh! Oh – and in the midst of all of that I got stuck right in the middle of "The Bronze Horseman" and couldn't climb out till I had read about 500 pages!
Don't give up on me!

Yippee, Yay and Whoohoo!
Things are moving right along on the Boyer frontier.
My bestest brother Allen is going to be in the
My mom got a new car this weekend. She seems to be pretty excited. And this means that she is one step closer to moving, which means she is one step closer to being officially "retired". Yay!
I've got a little over a month until my vacation. I can hardly wait. And between now and then, a big birthday! I'm excited about the plans that are being made.
Quickie post – but it's been a while, so something has to be better than nothing!
More soon!

Boxes Galore!

These boxes and envelope were made using the 123D Cutter by EK Success. And the always beautiful Amy Butler papers by K&Company.
And here’s a little introductory page for the store with my *GASP* picture on it. If you know me at all, you know that this is pretty unusual. And the fact that I am posting it is even more unusual! But, at some point, you’ve got to have a face with a name. Sigh.

I feel sheepish...
But that's not really why I feel sheepish. I just finished reading Laurel's post regarding "the List". I wasn't quite brave enough to put the nitty gritty things down on my list. I wrote them on a piece of paper, but didn't have the guts to type them here. And the she had to go and put it all out there!
First of all, I have to say that Laurel is in inspiration. Brave, open-minded, soft-hearted. And most of all full of laughter! I'm honored to call her my friend.
I'm going to ponder this other list....and see if I can grow the *bleep* needed to actually type it out.
Uh oh, now I feel sheepish cause I used a bleep. Momma, if you reading this please forgive me! :)

Make a list.
I'm feeling a little rebellious. And not wanting to blog. Wait, I take that back. I want to blog, but I don't want to blog. Get my meaning?
I've been thinking about a monumental birthday that is coming up. And thinking about where I am in life as compared to where I used to think I would be at this point. And they don't compare at all! It was more than a little depressing, I have to say. But, I think I've had a breakthrough – at least in realizing that it's okay to not be living in a house with a white picket fence and 2.5 children. That doesn't mean that I still don't want to do that at some point, but it's alright that I'm not doing it right this minute. And if the big G plops that down in front of me right this minute, I would stand up from the computer and walk right through that gate….even without finishing my blog entry.
But still, at 34 days until the big 3-0, there still seems like a lot left on the "before I'm 30" list. The list has never been written down, but I'm gonna do it right now. Well, at least over the next few days. And I'll record them here in my blogary. And shoot! I thought I'd come up with a new word for this blog + diary, but Google has proven me wrong. Someone beat me to the punch. He-he.
Here is the beginning of my list!
own a home
have a car that is completely paid off (even if it just for a little bit. I just want to know what it feels like J)
get a tattoo, baby
be published in at least one of three specific magazines
take a "outlander" tour of
visit all of the continents (3 down, 4 to go)
visit the seven wonders of the medieval world (2 down, 5 to go)
live in a foreign country
There's more! I'll add it soon!
So, here's my challenge to you. Write your list down. Make it public. Post it on your blog. Send it in a mass email. Write it on a big poster and hang in your closet. Dry-erase marker it on your bathroom mirror. Whatever it takes. And start marking things off. Actually do the things on your list. It doesn't matter how un-obtainable they may seem. Start the ball rolling. Get 'em done. And while you are doing it – enjoy every single moment.
What's on your list?

It's almost the weekend again!
Recovering from a fantastic weekend – and in just one short day – it'll be the weekend again! Friday and Saturday were jam packed with scrapbooking, food, birthday parties and church so by the time I got home Sunday afternoon, I just had to veg. My brain just couldn't handle it any more. So, Sunday was the day of the bad action movies. Both were B's or C's. But I still love them.
It's only Wednesday, but I have Thursday and Friday off for the 4th! Wooohooo!
I did manage to finish three layouts on Saturday, but I can't show them to you yet. Soon, though. I promise.
Here's another photo I've managed to unearth. It's a little odd, but this is what you do when you've been in
And finally, you have to read this post on the Blissfully Domestic blog. Hysterical, but it definitely makes me want to start trolling the alleys for good dumsters! Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
