It's weekends like this...

That make me wonder if I have a social life. I mean seriously. Last night I cleaned my house...and tonight I am surrounded by three tiny girls that look suspiciously like Clavell munchkins.

What happened to date night? Or going out with the girls? Hmmm.

On the flip side, it's weekends like these that I love. No pressure, time spent being productive, playing with a "puppy in my pocket"(a new toy Victoria bought at Wal-Mart) and eating pizza.

Next, we're off to watch Parent Trap. hfntmjbvhnjgflkkajf salkfsaklmvbmf v bf f f lall4444444444444dskmaskfjkalflfk (that was Elizabeth's blog entry for the day)

What happened to September?

What happened to September?  October is literally days away.  Fall is in the air.  And the *gasp* holidays are right around the corner.  Amazingly enough, I'm ready for them!

One way I'm getting ready is by signing up for Kolette Hall's new class at BPS called "Giving Well".  I loved meeting Kolette at Creative Escape and am excited about all of the new ideas she'll bring to the table.  I've been putting myself under so much pressure over the past couple of months to create something dynamic that no one has ever seen before that I think I've shot myself in the foot.  I've stunted my creativity, soooo, I'm going to allow someone else to be the creative one - and hope it will be the boost I need.  And you never know, some of my readers may receive a few gifts I make during this class!

I have been blog surfing (waaayyy more than usual), but it's been good, because I've stumbled upon some new ones!  Here are a couple.

And finally, it's only about three weeks before my brother from down under (hehehe - I made a rhyme) will be here!  I'm super excited.  And then before you know it…it'll be Thanksgiving.

Happy pre-holidays! Oh dear, I think I'm becoming one of those people! Before you know it I'll be singing carols!

It's Award Time!

One the bestest friends I have, Laurel, has nominated me for this award.  I'm honored.  If only I could remember those Academy Award acceptance speeches I rehearsed in my mind back in high school.  Don't laugh – you know you did it too!

So, here are the rules:

1) I have to pick 7 of my favorite blogs

2) The winner can put the logo on their blog

3) Link the person you received your award from

4) Nominate at least 7 other blogs.

5) Put links of those blogs on yours.

6) Leave a message on the blogs of the ones you've nominated.

Aaack.  Rule number 1 is a hard one to follow.  As of today, I have 101 blogs listed in Google Reader.  And I have admit I read them all on a regular basis.  Oy – that is another issue in itself!

Drumroll, please!    Please remember I love you all – and they are in no particular order J

My life...just not on the road I expected (but it's still dang good) Karen

I am such a lurker here – I love seeing that she's posted.  Beautiful photographs, and a adorable little pig-tailed girl known as "Yannie".

Silly Hamsters: A Big Brother Blog

I love, love, love Big Brother – and HamsterDame keeps us all up to date.  Tonight is season finale night!

Sprague Lab: A Little Studio of Scrapbook Alchemy – Jessica Sprague
I took a class from JessicaSprague.com after hooking into her blog.  I think my favorite thing about her and her family – they are just a tiny bit "geeky" and not ashamed to shout it to the world.  I love it, since I think we are geeky in one way or another!

Our Labor of Love – Whitney and Jesse

Stunning wedding photography!  And they are based out of Atlanta – and one day, when my wedding day comes along they will so be there…I better start saving my moolah!  J

The Art of Choosing Joy  - Kolette Hall

This is a pretty new blog, but after taking a class at Creative Escape with Kolette and her husband Jason, I love their attitude and message!

I Am Not Left Handed – Another Karen

I think this was the very first blog I started reading on a regular basis.  Sometimes Karen goes a long time between posts – but when she does….freakin' hilarious!  She makes me laugh out loud!

I Like My Typography Bold - Kelly

Atlanta based graphic/web designer.  Who can resist a blog with "typography" in the title?  It's been fun watching her family adjust to suburban life!

Whew!  That's it for now.  I guess I have to actually post a comment on their blogs.  This is a big step.  I am such a lurker, I don't think I've ever commented on any of these blogs except maybe 1.    Here I go!

Creative Escape Project #1

Well, at least the first one I have completed since returning. This mini album taught by Kollette Hall (and Jason, too) was all about being grateful for what you have every day. And the whole idea and process really struck a chord with me. So...I signed the committment page and started writing one line about what I am grateful for each day. It's a big committment, but I've already noticed that I am constantly thinking about what good thing I am going to write in the journal...and looking for thos good things. I think it truly will be life changing...

Kit Clubs

I am on the search for a kit club. It's a hard thing for me to commit to such a thing, because I am always worried that I won't like everything that is in the kit and then end up with a whole pile of wasted product that needs a new home...but one kit that has caught my eye is brand new and called kenner road.

It's so new their website isn't up yet - I think tomorrow is the big day, but I've been following kerry lynn's blog for quite some time and have enjoyed reading about the process of starting up the club...check it out!

And the winner is.....

And the winner is....Kimberly!

She was the closest in her guess for the total cost of my Bazzil Warehouse and Scrapbooks Etc. shopping spree in Arizona.

The grand total was $59.87.  This included approximately 150 sheets of Bazzil cardstock, 7 albums, rub-ons, and a few other goodies!

A teeny tiny RAK in the form of a pack of Bazzill Basics Really Big Buttons is on it's way to you!  Will you send me your shipping address?  I don't seem to have it!

I'm wading through photos.  Hopefully I'll get them posted tonight or tomorrow!

Blogs Galore

Finally turned on the computer tonight to catch up on blog reading. And I was greeted with 509 posts! Yikes!

I have lots of CE goodies to show you. I'm finishing up a couple of projects that I didn't get finished during classes and taking photos. Soon, I promise!

Takin' a break!

We've been to the Bazzill warehouse and to Scrapbooks Etc. to shop. Now we're sitting in the lobby checkin' emails and listening to the waterfall. This afternoon is the treasure hunt (and we all know I'm a sucker for a good one) and a little more relaxation. We might even take the ferry over to the casino.

More soon!

Uh-Oh

This is what happens when you mix pina coladas and sun!

FW: Wish you were here!

I just realized I didn't attach the photo earlier....check it out...

CE Day!

It’s CE day! Leaving super early to head to the MARTA station and off to the airport. And I mean super early. YAWN. With a short hop through Salt Lake City, we’ll be arriving in Phoenix around 11:45 or so. The hotel has Wi-Fi, so hopefully at some point I’ll be able to post some photos! Talk to you soon!
