It's a big day!
I certainly never knew that 5 years ago almost to the day (August 10, 2006), I’d still be posting! Amazing how life has changed during that time. That being said….I think I need to post more. I don’t want another 5 years to go by before I get to 1,000 posts!
To celebrate I have a few goodies to share!
Leave a comment here (if you are reading on Facebook, please click to be connected directly to my blog) and you’ll be eligible! And if you aren’t into scrapping supplies, leave a comment anyway to help me celebrate. Help a girl out…comment. Yes, I am shamelessly asking for comments. :)
I'll draw the winner on Monday!
Here’s to the next 500 posts!

A giveaway!
I’m so excited about the upcoming classes at Michael’s. So excited, in fact, that I just *have* to do a giveaway! Want one of these fabulous artist trays from 7gypsies in black?
You’ll have to work for it!!! You’ll receive one entry if you blog and link back to yesterday’s post, and one entry if you tweet. Post a comment to let me know what you’ve done!
And for extra motivation….here’s some inspiration from Rhonda Palazzari
And Ali Edwards
Go on! You know you want one! Giveaway ends on Monday, July 19th!

thrilling thursday
So seriously, isn’t this just gorgeous? Discovered this photo on a blog I read every day, but for the life of me can’t remember which one right this minute (please forgive me for not remembering!). The original image can be found here.
There is just something about the mesh of colors and fabrics, but what is really striking are the embroidery hoops. I’d probably poo-poo using such a thing, thinking it wouldn’t be very modern, but after seeing this, I’m totally game!
And this is a fabulous idea! Removable vinyl to create stripes on a wall. Seriously. I’ve seen all of the decals, but never thought it could be used on this scale. Perfection! I’m already scoping out a wall. And it’s perfect for rentals!
Don’t forget – the bangle giveaway ends Friday at 10pm!

More projects…and a giveaway!
So, here are a few more projects from Inspired! It's fun revisiting these…and it reminds me of the loads of unfinished projects waiting for me! :)
This wooden bangle was super easy and considering that I walked into this class determined not to like my finished product, I actually love it. Rubons, a little black embossing powder and a few Smooch inks later, I discovered I really love my finished product!
Metal embossing using tools form Ten Second Studios.
Encaustic art taught by the famous Suze Weinberg. I have to say, while it was fun, I probably won’t ever do this type of thing again. It’s just not my forte. But I’m glad I tried it!
And a class by Stephanie Ackerman. I swear, if I learned nothing else, it was worth it to learn how to make these roses. So stinkin’ easy!
I have even more projects, but have to finish a few before I can post. Are you tired of them yet? :)
For everyone who’s managed to stick around through it all I have a little reward. I love this bangle, but it’s a medium. And I do not have a medium wrist. It fits me, but not pleasantly, and I’d rather know someone out there is wearing it and enjoying it. So….leave a comment here before 10 pm on Friday, June 18th and you’ll be entered in a drawing to win it! I’ll announce a winner at the beginning of next week.
Good luck!
