Mini Albums...Away!

Whew.  Here's a quick shot of the five mini albums I finished in the wee hours of the morning for a holiday craft fair this weekend.  I fully intended on having ten to sell.  I'll be happy with the five.  Weekend trips, work and family visits got in the way of productivity.  But it's okay.  I'm still happy.

These are all simple and easy.  I can't decide if my favorite is the travel journal or the neautral baby one.  It's a dillema, I tell you!

My good friends Courtney and Shea Hendress have graciously allowed me to use their table to hawk my wares at a craft show this weekend. Check out the super cute goodies Courtney makes at TwoChe Design.

If you are in the Snellville area, please stop by. The craft show is at Barbara’s Hair this Saturday, 9am – 5pm and Sunday, 12pm – 5pm! The address is 1988 Dogwood Road, Snellville, Georgia.

Scrapista recipe album workshop

FINAL LOGO copy

As you know I'm steadily working on on building up a workshop/retreat adventure with Scrapista. Over the past few weeks, the website has had a amazing makeover....and I'm excited to announce that I'll be teaching a class at the R-Ranch in Dahlonega in May!

recipe album cover

This recipe album is one of my favorite projects.  Especially because the recipes are printed on grocery bags!  And it's all made even better by the venue.  The R-Ranch is an amazing place located in the Georgia mountains.  My family discovered it several years ago, and we've been visiting ever since!

Can you join us?

Hear that? That’s April 2nd whizzing by!

So, April 2nd came and went. And quickly. And in such a short time, a lot has changed. It's all very complicated, emotional and strange, so all I'm going to say is that we've been through some big changes, but life isn't in upheaval anymore (still a little rocky, but sooo much better). It's all good.

Obviously, based on the above statement, a lot of stuff has happened. All of it momentous, but some of it downright good. Like a huge physical challenge and success, a major artistic undertaking that ended up looking pretty good, news for Scrapista that I can't wait to share, and most of all a broadening sense of hope.

I'm gonna share it all….starting tomorrow…..hey, don't judge. I've got to warm back up to the blogging thing :)

In the meantime, one of my besties has started a new blog chronicling her adventures in weight loss. The name of the blog makes me giggle….and now I'll be stuck with a certain song in my head all night! Check out Baby Got Fat. Heheee. See, it's funny!

See you soon!

The list…

Where has this year gone? I mean really. It seems like just yesterday we were finishing up the holidays - and they are already here again. I had a major moment this morning. I suddenly became "ready" for the holidays. Call me kooky, but it was a sudden change in feeling. It's time!

I can't help but think back to this time last year. And realize that things are sooo much better this time around. All that stuff mainly centered around the 9-5, and the unknown of what was going to happen which turned into taking a pay cut and moving. And while the pay cut is still there and the move still happened, life is ever so much more peaceful. Full of possibilities, ideas, and largely filled with joy. I don’t think I truly realized all of that until I typed that just now.

And with the holidays come the "list". Not the New Year's resolution list, but the list of things you want accomplish in the next year…..

§ Revive Scrapista and hold our first event

§ Hone my photography skills

§ Complete another Beth Moore study (I officially finish the study on  Esther tomorrow!)

§ Read and review even more books

§ Practice writing (those book reviews will help)

§ Keep scrapbooking, or whatever crafty thing that sparks my interest, and find my "voice"

§ Live life intelligently, don't just let it pass by, enjoy every stinkin' moment of it

Those are the big ones. There are so many little, bitty ones and I'll work on those too!

What's on your list? And, do you really, really believe it can happen? I do!

And finally, I leave you this hilarious wish from Kolette Hall. Have a great Thanksgiving!

I wish it were warm enough to swim....

A few weeks ago, I distinctly remember saying, "I wish it were warm enough to swim". I take it back, really, I take it allllll back! It was 99 degrees at 5 pm today. It's almost tooo warm to swim!!!!!

It's been one of the best weekend's I've had in a long time. And I am thankful for it! The C's and M's came over Friday for a little swim party (and I didn't take a single photo - shoot). It's always funny to see my house overran with little kiddies and adults. And this time they brought this collapsible wagon thingy and pulled it right into the house. Amazing. I think it held everything necessary for all 4 kids, swimming gear and food.

And they guys were nice enough to let L & M stay after the party was over...so it turned into girls night....we haven't done that in ages, if ever.

Saturday I spent the majority of the day, sitting right in front of this computer, working on things for Scrapista.

And this morning went to church - then ran over to the Mall of Georgia to see The Proposal. It was as good as I hoped it would be.

It's been just what the doctor ordered! Hope you all enjoyed yours!

Decadent...

You know those occaisional days when you are tired and slightly not feeling good and just want to sit on the sofa or in your chair or in your bed with glazed eyes staring at the tv, or not watch tv at all and just go to bed?  That was my Tuesday.  And it was wonderful.  Granted it felt weird and I had to keep telling myself it was okay.  I've gotten pretty used to running around like a chicken with my head cut off!   Add getting to zone out to the buffet (random items, but still good) waiting for me when I got home that night (thanks, momma) it was pretty fantastic.    And I felt so much better Wednesday.

The rest of this week and weekend is shaping up to be quite busy.  But hopefully productive and fun.

Scrapista is slowly coming together.  Scary and wonderful all at the same time.  And I'll be announcing our classes this weekend.  I've been so impressed with what we are offering so far.  I hope our attendees will feel that way, too!

More soon!

They didn't tell me it would be like this...

They didn't tell me that when you decide to start your own business you end up becoming this kinda crazy, obsessed, wild-eyed person formerly known as Rebecca.  But then again, I don't know who "they" are.  Yikes!

I have no social news to report.  Only menus, schedules, web updates, letters, etc......blah, blah!  It's taken over!!!

I promise a better update soon!
